Green conference 6 March: Living Hope, Great Missenden

A day conference is organised for Saturday 6 March 10am to 4pm. The event is run by Living Hope: Green Churches Green Schools. In attendance will be the CEO of Traidcraft.

This conference is for anyone who wants to care for the environment in a
church or school context. It will combine keynote addresses by noted
speakers with interactive workshops, a marketplace, opportunities to
network, and worship.
Speakers include:
· Dave Bookless, A Rocha UK, author of "Planetwise"
· Paula Clifford, Christian Aid, author of "Angels with Trumpets:
The Church in a Time of Global Warming"
· Chris Sunderland, Founder of Earth Abbey
Workshops, led by experts and practitioners, include:
· Stories from churches/schools that have installed renewable energy
· "Eco-Congregations" and "Eco-Schools" sharing their experiences
· Working with community groups (Transition Towns, "Greening"
campaigns, 10:10 etc)
· Energy advisor's "clinic" on easy energy saving for homes, churches
and schools
· A scientist's perspective on the science of climate change and how to
answer related questions
· Traidcraft's CEO on Fair Trade and sustainability
· Living Lightly
· Spirituality, community and reconnecting with the earth
· Experiencing and creating a "green" prayer walk
· Preparing worship that includes environmental themes
· What happened at Copenhagen? And what happens next with climate
negotiations?
· Campaigning on climate change: a roadmap for the year ahead

Deadline for Registration: 1 March 2010 (Space is limited; register early!)

A conference fee of £5 will be payable on the day. Fee includes workshop
