In May each year outstanding residents of Chesham are honoured at the annual Mayoral Awards.

The main prize, the People's Award, went to Chiltern Green Pary member Phil Folly after he received an unprecedented number of nominations.

Presenting him with his award, Cllr Fulford said: “Phil Folly is a tireless campaigner for a better environment for all and has touched the lives of many people across Chesham. He plays a central role in far too many voluntary groups to list.”

He received his prize from Cllr Justine Fulford in her final public engagement before standing down as Mayor of Chesham. Phil's prize of £150 was donated to the Chesham Over Fifties Positive Action Group.
