Local Elections 2009

Thank you

The Green Party would like to thank everyone who voted for it in the County and European elections. We are delighted that Caroline Lucas received a ringing endorsement for her work in this region by being returned with a 50% increase in her vote.

Her 11% polling was matched in the Bucks County wards where Green candidates stood, including a full slate in Chesham. The need for green thinking from all sectors of the community is greater than ever, and the Green Party looks with great optimism on the initiatives being promoted by groups such as Chesham in Transition and Chesham for Change.
